So yesterday March 30, 2010 I said good bye to America and hopped on a plane to Japan! First going through Seoul, Korea then Flying to Osaka, Japan.
It all started when I left my mom (saddest goodbye known to man) at the airport. I did not pack lightly so I was basically lugging around a medium size bag full of rocks and a back pack filled with cement and an awkward to carry pillow.
For probably the first two hours it was non stop go go go of the stewardess going up and down the isles with smiles just plastered on their faces. Giving assistance, hot towels, snacks, drinks, lunch, coffee, tea, red wine, white wine, (these are all different laps they would take, not all at once) then did a final lap to pick it all up.
Funny story.... lunch which was "bi-bim-bab'" (I guess its some korean beef/rice/veggie dish.) (I just ate the rice and the fruit and some sort of weird ass noodles which had no flavor, were cold, and were black colored.) I tried the veggies but not only did they burn my mouth cause they were so spicy, they were weird looking and i could not tell what they were. Too many weird crunches I crunched so i just said no more to that weird shit) So after lunch when the stewardess JUST cleared the isle about...id say.. HALF the airplane was up and in line for the bathroom. Like all at once EVERYONEs butt hole was like "oh HELL NO!" and needed to get rid of that shit I mean lunch they just served. The thing is that I don't think people thought it tasted bad, it just flushed through their bodies like in and out burger.
So then I got to Seoul, Korea. The airport wasn't too weird. Very big and open and modern. A lot of makeup and perfume shopping (one sign literally said "YOU WANT THIS! BUY THIS!") I lold
This is some woman that was working at this weird place. People were there like painting miniature furniture or something. It was weird.
From Seoul to Osaka, Japan was an easy flight. I was blessed to get a seat directly in the center isle of the 3 center in seriously the middle of the airplane. It was really comfortable. (syke, it sucked)
Around 10 pm Wednesday March 31 I was in Osaka, I was greeted by my taxi driver with him literally running at me ( I guess I was late) and him running back to the taxi with me trying to keep up. Got in the taxi van. I sat up front next to an old grandma. Fell asleep for a little bit and when I woke up I watched the highway signs and when we turned off to Kyoto everything became more exciting. I didnt stop smiling for fucking the whole ride I prob looked like a tard. I have never seen so many 711s, K's (looks EXACTLY like a 711), Lawsons, (looks like a pharmacy version of a 711) or family marts ( I guess the japanese version of a 711), Vending machines IN MY LIFE.
Got to my dorm building and was greeted by Ottosan (father) and Okaasan (mother) and three girls. They greeted me, all so excited, and one girl Una (I cant remember where she is from) showed me around. showed me where my shoe cubby is and gave me a pair of temporary slippers (I need to go buy my own) that I will wear around the dorms.
I am on the second floor (room 202!) close enough to the bathroom where I wont pee my pants in the middle of the night but far enough away where I cant here people grunting big in there. hahaha. Room is small and whatever. Showers are these funny little rooms. Couldn't find the light so I was showering in semi darkness last night.
And GET THISSSSSS. this morning I went to go pee and I open the bathroom stall and there is a sink right above/ in back of the toilet where normally all the plumbing stuff Is. So funny so when you flush the water goes on and you wash your hands. but heres the best part. When you sit down.... THE TOILET SEAT IS HEATED!!!!!!! AHHHHH! so fucking funny! I was loling.
I just got Ready its about 11:15 and walked down stairs to see if anyone was up.. well the doors to the lounge/kitchen are locked and my key would not open the doors....So I guess I am on my own today.....
Sayoonara!
