Yesterday I took a lovely trip over to Nara. Just one hour on an express train. Nara was amazing and probably one of my favorite cities/places I have been in Japan so far. It was a little bit rainy which sucked but the colors were so beautiful and I had a wonderful day. Once I got off the train I went straight to this small Kakigori restaurant... Kakigori is Japanese shaved ice. This one in particular was half green tea half condensed milk flavor with these cute little green jello squares and azuki beans on it AND 4 little mochi balls on the side! Azuki beans are these small beans which are boiled in sugar and become sweet! so oishii!) I ate that and after wanted another one but decided it would be really fat of me to get another one...so I decided against it. Nara was the first capital city and is arranged in a grid system so it was really easy to get around. And most of the temples/shrines worth seeing are very close together. Something really weird about Nara is that there are SOOOOOOO many deers just walking around. It was totally bizarre. They make these CRAZY squeaky noises and they just walk around looking for food. They do not have to look hard because people buy food there to give to the deer. The life of a deer looks easy and fun! All I really wanted was to see some person get head butted by a deer.. it would have made my day so much better!
On my way home I got on the wrong train and ended up spending an extra hour on the train.. I got super antsy and started compulsively eating peanuts and then got really sick.. It was a great way to end the journey to Nara. But finally when I got home I went to meet up with Hannah and some of her classmates from Australia who are on a trip here with their school. We got Okonomiyaki and then went to Karaoke... The rest of the night is a blur. An amazing blur though!
Last night I left my bike near my school. This morning when I went to get it I found it peacefully hanging from a tree... yes... some asshole put my bike in a tree! rude!

Kakigori! so yumm! after I ate it my whole body was sooooooo cold though. The things I put myself through for good food.

Shake it!

I really did not want to mess with this guy..He looked dangerous

She was so pretty!

This woman had such a shitty job..

This idiots map got eaten by this deer.. he gave a good fight. Hes lucky that deer didn't munch his fingers. Some Japanese woman came over and started yelling at him.... prob calling him an idiot.

Feeding time!

I thought this was so cute. Kinda gross but really cute.

TodaI temple. This temple has the largest buddah in the world and I think it could be the largest wooden building in the world... This was such an Incredible building. One of the coolest temples I have seen in Japan.

Such a cute little squishy!

The best photo I got of the buddah..not very good, I know... but it was so incredible!

Nigatsu-do Temple. This temple had an amazing view of Nara.
