A few weeks ago I had my first crit for katazome... since I was not done with my project (Okinawa kinda put me behind a few days...) I did not participate but it didn't really matter. The whole thing was in Japanese so I really got a lot out of it.

This is my friend Aoi. She speaks english and loves talking to me and practicing her English. She is one of the few people I can talk to during school. She really wanted to make me a bento box for lunch so her mom made me one. SO CUTE! She has three other siblings so her mom had to make an extra one PLUS she makes one for Aois father as well. Thats a lot of lunches to make!


So cute! her mom made a boy one and a girl one! obvi I got the girl one!


This is a view of my school! There is a big festival at my school this weekend (no idea why) and some kids built a ramp that went down the stairs of the amphitheater and into the fountain and today some crazy kid who had his body painted and was wearing a weird mask rode his bike down the ramp and into the fountain.... followed by him running to this big piece of wood he had set out and painted a big "3" on it... then him and his friends yellled out "3 days!.." (until the festival!) I can't wait to go this weekend!

My school is just so cool that sometimes randomly they have fun bands play at lunch. NO BIG DEAL!

Hannah and I went to this really shitty flea market at a really stupid temple on a really hot day. Over all... it sucked. But these were some good things that now thinking back on it should have bought.









A few weeks ago we had a big birthday party for people that were born in the months of march, april and may. (me=march 25)
A whole bunch of people went down to where the two rivers meet up and set up camp complete with food, drinks, and a dj. It was so great. The weather was perfect and everyone was nice and it was just an amazing way to spend a sunday afternoon.
